Sorrento Cheese awarded the shameful 'Grinch of the Year' award on Dec. 21.

Providing direct support for workers facing injustice is central to CEJ's mission. As such, we have helped thousands of workers over the years stand up for their right to form a union, bargain a fair contract, prevent unjust lay-offs, and lift up their voices.

One way CEJ does this is through the use of our Workers' Rights Board (WRB). The Board consists of religious leaders, academics, elected officials, and other prominent community members who receive testimony from workers facing unfair treatment on the job.The WRB uses its moral and community presence to apply pressure to unjust employers. The WNY WRB is one of 20 such boards in the Jobs with Justice national network and is responsible for helping hundreds of local workers win union recognition, win back their job, or simply have their voice heard.
